CHECK BACK FOR THE SINGLE, "WATERFALL"
Growing up in Baltimore Maryland, Summer Brenae always knew that she loved music. Her parents had always pushed her to be a part of the music world. Growing up Summer was always much like how her name seems, a bright and free happy spirit that enjoys the world around her. Her beginnings starting in dance. She did all types of dance growing up, tap, ballet, hip hop, and more. This early introduction to music is what led to her becoming a musician.
Her inspiration to become a musician came from watching music videos and award shows as a kid, hoping, and knowing that one day, that would be her. When she was young she started showing more and more that she had every intention of becoming a musician which led to her starting music lessons. She worked hard as she could to get herself into the entertainment world, auditioning for Broadway shows, musicals and local theater. Despite her hard work, experience and many talents she somehow was always overlooked. She would audition for as many parts as she could and even though her talent was seen and acknowledged, someone else was always picked over her. She did her best to work to be in places where people would see her talent.
Joining schools for dance she worked hard to become the best dancer she could be, but because of her size she always ended up being the underdog and not the favorite dancer. By the time high school had started she had started to lose confidence in herself but had auditioned to study in singing regardless. From there she was trained in classical and Broadway styles and more increasing her range but it seemed no matter what her confidence still got lower. But regardless of how she felt on the inside she knew that she needed to keep fighting for what she wanted in life and she couldn’t give up so soon. Feeling like she was always in somebody else’s shadow she knew that she needed to make a major change in order to break out on her own and to succeed. While looking into Albright College’s arts programs she knew that this would be her chance to become an independent artist and to prove everyone else who had doubted her wrong. This is her chance to achieve her dreams.
