CHECK BACK FOR THE SINGLE
Ian Keating comes from a calm and comforting state that is a mix of urban and rural called New Jersey. He is a 19 year old who basically grew up with music. Ian’s music was heavily influenced by his father’s music taste. His father listens to the 70’s and 80’s rock like Queen and Van Halen. This helped him to have a growing love for music. This led him to start learning how to play the guitar on his own. He got so into it that later on, he decided to take lessons from a professional, and has played since then. Ian was willing to do anything fun and exciting. That’s why he even did theater during high school. He isn’t afraid to be himself and out himself out there. Even though Ian is sick, he doesn’t let that define him.
Ian is diagnosed with hydrocephalus. It is a condition that leads to fluid build-up in the brain. However, if he didn’t tell you, you wouldn’t be able to tell. Music has helped him to get through difficult times in life, whether that is due to his sickness or life, music was always there. Then, one day, Ian got to go to a concert and see the bands he had always listened to and loved for so long. Seeing them play on stage, singing their hearts out expanded the love of music he already had, and sparked the passion to want to create his own. Ian used to be in a band, just creating and playing for enjoyment. He may have only performed twice, but he’s not stopping there. He always would look on the bright side, think positively, and live life to the fullest every day. In a way he wants to help others do the same, to be an inspiration, and be something that can bring people together.
