CHECK BACK FOR THE SINGLE
Joshua Gunter was born in Wilmington Delaware on October 23rd, 2000. Growing up was difficult for him because he did not come from money. Because of this lack of money, he had to work from the ground up to be able to do what he does today. He had to help around the house more than the average kid, and he had to put in extra work to make sure that everything in his life would be set for college. This was not easy for him, and it took a toll on his mental health. Early on his life was very difficult because of this, and it meant that initially growing up he struggled with different aspects in the household. When he entered school, initially things were a bit better for him. At first he was able to find some kids to be friends with. These early friends that he made allowed for him to establish a better mental health early on in his schooling. Some of these friendship bonds exist until this day. However, going into middle school things changed. Kids in middle school weren’t very mature, and that combined with them being older caused them to be very mean. While Josh before this had the chance to improve his mental health a little bit, he was unable to keep that up for long because of the kids that he was around. The way that they treated him made him feel embarrassed, and he wasn’t really sure of what he would do with himself to be able to keep going. This caused him to enter a state of depression, and this would take a toll on things like his grades, and his ability to be social with other people. He greatly struggled with all of this, and it would constantly make him upset with himself. He was outcast by most kids, so most of the friendships that he had fell apart because he lost a lot of people to turn to when he needed them the most. This continued on into early highschool, and he thought that the torment that he was going through would never end. One of the only outlets that he had early on was video games, which he would use as an escape to make himself feel better. The action of video games was enough for him to be able to take his mind off of the issues that he had. This was not necessarily enough, but it was better than nothing. He still was not in the best place, until he discovered music. As he started to explore the music that he loved, he began to find a true outlet that would be able to change where he was completely. No longer would he be suffering from the problems that plagued him when he would be able to turn them into inspiration for his music. He was heavily inspired by rap music, and as high school progressed he started to write songs. He learned how to use different productions softwares to cultivate his craft, and he was able to develop songs pretty quickly. By the time of entering college, he was in a far better state with his mental health, and today he is working to advance his music career by continuing to do what he loves, make music.
