CHECK BACK FOR THE SINGLE, "WATERFALL"
Jordi Olan is a 21-year-old Albright college student who has a deep passion for music. He is talented, driven, creative, and confident about the brand he has worked so hard to establish. With success in mind for the future, it is important to remember where he came from. Therefore, the name Jay215 fits him perfectly.
In case you don’t know 215 is Philadelphia’s area code, which will always tie him back to the community that helped him grow into the artist he is now. A versatile rapper who loves to tell his story and inspire others. That versatility works very well especially when doing collaborations. He can be very aggressive and hardcore, or be very vulnerable and effective in telling a story. Which by far makes him a great artist to work with. All things he learned while studying some of his favorite artists like J Cole, Joyner Lucas, Logic, Eminem, and even Philly native Meek Mill. These are all artists that were important as he took his first steps within the music world. Jordi was not always a rapper solely focused on his music career.
Throughout his childhood he began to play sports which would keep him busy and into things that are constructive. This would include activities such as wrestling, boxing, soccer, and even martial arts. He took all of these while in high school, but that one thing that continued to stick with him was music. Throughout freshman year he began to rap seriously taking on the new challenges in the music industry such as redefining who he is.
With family from Puerto Rico it was important to intertwine and embrace some of the culture through his music. While defining who he was as an artist it was important to take advantage of the opportunities given. The opportunity to voice and support others also struggling with ADHD.
This is something most people might not know about him but plays a major role in his life. Very early he recognized anything holding him back and change it into something positive. With that in mind the goal is to raise awareness to all disorders out there, as well as promote those who are looking for ways to cope. Disorders are not something to be ashamed of. It is something to work on and use to your advantage. Most people would shy away from an opportunity like this, but above all Jordi uses it as a learning experience to teach others who may truly need it. Doing this provides a voice in the world for all those who may be too afraid to speak up.
From the beginning the goal was to be successful, but more than anything Jordi strives to be a difference maker. The work ethic is there, the content is coming, and the intent to change people has been within him all along. Now is the time he has the mic and can voice it for himself.
