CHECK BACK FOR THE SINGLE
From the city of Philadelphia, Kyle Zayas is an acoustic guitarist and indie singer/songwriter, who is described best as a storyteller. He is also adaptable and flexible, exploring various genres through his collaborations with other artists, giving him more routes to tell his story. Growing up, Kyle found himself in an environment dealing with harassment and bullying, leading to doubt in himself and his abilities. He came to the belief that a career in music was unrealistic due to the lack of support from friends and family. Since his teenage years, Kyle has developed his style of storytelling and how he tells of his experiences. Through high school, he would carry a songbook to record his thoughts and inspiration, his struggles in the world, his mental health, and any other noteworthy experience. He also started to act, and the stage became a natural place for Kyle to display his talents. Zayas then chose Albright College for their program in Music Industry Studies, working on original songs and developing his craft.
He prides himself in his transparency with his audience, and always remaining open and honest. Kyle advocates for mental health and hopes to reach out to people who feel as though they are stuck or in a dark place. While a student at Albright College, Kyle has performed both covers and original tunes in various venues. He has played through Albright College’s campus, the DoubleTree by Hilton hotel in Reading, and more locations to come in the future. In addition, he is an artist on the campus’s distribution record label, Lion Records. He is currently working on his upcoming EP, to be released later this year. Over time, Kyle has learned to put himself first and follow his passions, and that there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Through his music, he hopes to connect with others, while singing his own anxieties away.
